"I started my “novice” trading in 1987, taking advantage of the stock market tumble. I was buying up blue chip stocks (IBM @ $50 ) with a “buy and hold” strategy. Over the years I made some money, but when I lost money it took almost all my accumulated profits. I pulled back from active trading for a while … but watched the market movement.
