Lessons from the Pros FAQ
Lessons from the Pros FAQ
You may have signed up for our newsletters, but find that you are not receiving them. The information below may help track down the problem.
If you find that you cannot resolve the problem yourself, contact us
and we will try to help you get it resolved. We also cover additional questions below.
When will I receive Lessons from the Pros?
Lessons from the Pros is a weekly newsletter, normally sent out on Tuesdays.
How do I make sure I receive Lessons from the Pros?
Increasingly, ISPs are using filtering systems in an attempt to keep spam or unsolicited emails out of
customers' inboxes. Sometimes, they accidentally filter the e-mail that you want to receive, such as our Lessons
from the Pros.
IMPORTANT: To make sure that Online Trading Academy's e-mails are not
filtered into your "junk" or "bulk" folder, please add Online Trading Academy to your list
of trusted senders by adding
on your Spam White List and also into your
Contacts of your email program.
For additional information about your individual email program, scroll down for further information.

What do I do if my Lessons from the Pros emails are arriving as text only when they shouldn't be?
If our newsletters appear to arrive in a "text only" mode, AND you are using the AVG virus protection program
from Grisoft, you will need to do the following:
Open AVG and go to Tools, Advanced Settings, E-mail Scanner, uncheck "certify e-mail" under "check
incoming e-mail". Please note that your anti-virus program will still check all your emails for viruses, but
now it will simply not append the text to the incoming messages that states that the message has been checked. Keep the
"check incoming e-mail" checked on.
This may also help, if your version of AVG has "Trust Center": Go to Tools then Trust Center, then
click Add-ins on the left. Then click Exchange Client Extensions on the bottom drop down menu. Then click Go.
Then click OFF the AVG Exchange Extension. And click OK.
Here's information regarding specific email address types:
Hotmail: Place the domains tradingacademy.com and reply.tradingacademy.com on your Safe List,
so that you can receive our newsletters and post-order e-mails. The safe list can be accessed via the "Options" link
next to the main menu tabs.
AOL: Place the domains tradingacademy.com and reply.tradingacademy.com in your Address Book.
Yahoo! Mail: If one of our e-mails is filtered to your 'bulk' folder, open the message and click on
the "this is not Spam" link next to the "From" field.
Some spam filters: Place the domains tradingacademy.com and reply.tradingacademy.com on the filter's
whitelist. You may need to search a filter's help for how to do this -- and depending on software/version, they may call
it a "whitelist," a "good list" or similar name.
Other ISPs: If one of your newsletters is being filtered, try adding our domain tradingacademy.com
or reply.tradingacademy.com to your address book or contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message
to your 'inbox' or forwarding the message to yourself.
If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP's tech support and specifically ask how you
can be sure to receive all e-mail from tradingacademy.com and reply.tradingacademy.com. Follow their instructions for
whitelisting.
We fully support the anti-spam motivations of all mail servers and ISPs. The spam problem is threatening the entire
email system, and there are now dozens and dozens of competing anti-spam technologies.
Unfortunately, many legitimate emails are being inadvertently filtered out of the system, and causing severe
communication problems.
So, in order to keep the lines of communication open between Online Trading Academy and your inbox,
please do make sure that your mail server or ISP is not accidentally keeping our emails from you.
Can I customize my Lessons from the Pros subscription?
Yes. If you click on the Update Profile and Subscription Preferences link at the bottom of the Lessons from the
Pros newsletter, you will go to a page where you can set your preferences. We recommend keeping at least 3 types of
articles in your settings so you don't miss out on important topics and so that the newsletter appears correct in
your email box.
